Our outreach program brings biomedical engineering to life for students across the country, hosting interactive workshops and presentations at high schools and elementary schools nationwide to spark curiosity in STEM and healthcare innovation early.

STEAM Discovery Day

June 4, 2026 (Ethos Lab) — ~140 students in Grades 4–7 joined a full day of STEM exploration. CUBEC led a biomedical engineering workshop introducing different BME streams, followed by a trivia game with prizes for the top teams.

Neuroscience Workshop

March 28, 2026 (UBC Geering Up x CUBEC) — Students explored neuroscience and biomedical devices using a real EEG device, learning how sensors detect biological signals and connect to real-world biomedical engineering.

STEM-letes Workshop

March 8, 2026 (UBC Geering Up x CUBEC) — Grades 7–12 students learned biomechanics through force, IMU, and PPG sensor demos, then were mentored by CUBEC members through a pitch challenge.
